Therma-Flite “PYRO-SCRU” is a screw heat exchanger designed for the indirect heating of bulk solid products.  It utilizes a direct-fired air heater to supply a high temperature air/combustion gas mixture through the rotors and housing providing an indirect heat source to the product. Exhaust gases can be provided via a variety of different sources to increase process efficiencies.

The system includes an infeed hopper, “Pyro-Scru” Indirect Twin Screw Thermal Heater, “Holo-Scru” Cooler, Vapor Removal and Condensing System, and an Integrated PLC Control System.
